Subculture Disk 2 Mixed by John O’Callaghan - Recoveryworld Live Vol 2

This mix cd has got to be one of the best trance compilations I have ever had the pleasure of listening to.
I am a great fan of John’s so I knew this would be good, I have a few of these tunes in my bag so just by looking at the play list it confirmed my original thoughts, but when I actually started to play the cd it proved to be far reaching to what I expected.
The way John has put this set together is proof alone to the quality of his dj-ing capabilities.
As a producer he excels, and it is great to have a compilation with so many of his own and co produced tunes featured.

The set starts by caressing your audio senses with mellow synths and very soon awakens your eardrums with a deep pounding percussion that grabs your attention with a promising base line that convinces you ‘Not to turn this off or the volume down’
At track 10 John’s ‘Inquiring Minds’ has got you hooked with the bouncy beats and nothing is going to stop you playing this to the end.
Can it get better?
It sure can!
‘One Way Ticket’ – ‘Cruise Control’ and then, the massive “arms in the air anthem” ‘Deadlock’ followed by the driving trancer ‘Vandetta’ finishing it all off with ‘Restricted Motion’ at this point there is only one thing left to do, that is – “Play it again”.
From a fellow djs point of view this is excellent, tight mixing, great tune selection and perfectly structured.

My only disappointment is…………. “I was not at the venue where this was recorded to have danced my way through it”.

A “not to be missed” album for any trance fan.
