Madox - Urban Plastic

Madox was nominated as a Breakthrough Act at the 2005 Breakspoll Awards, Best Producer at the 2006 event and was featured as the "One to watch out for" in DJ MAgazine. Madox continued to build his reputation as one half of "Trouble Soup!!" with label mate Santos and the pair have toured all over the UK, notched up quite a few remixes between them and have also relased their own mix on Y4K.

Madox's debut album sets the scene with Ashley "Freakpower" Slater's vocals on the opening twisty, funky, squelchy sounding "Plastic Fantastic". This track is already doing the rounds with remixes from Riva Starr and Jamie Fanatics. "Check Electro" is an electro fused squelchy breaks track with hypnotic vocals. "Duckalicious" is an uplifiting 303 based techy breaks tune with a techno edge - fantastic! The rest of the album is full of funky b-lines, vocal samples, Brazilian Hip Hop, Latin Vibes, UK influenced eletronika with big big sounds and an Italian twist.
