2007 is a landmark year for Functional/Beatz & Bobz as the club night approaches its tenth anniversary. The night has grown into a breakbeat establishment showcasing local talent and bringing big name DJs the monthly party. To celebrate a decade in dance, the crew have teamed up with sister label Functional to release the seventh installment in their compilation series. Recorded live at his June 1st Cavern gig, Rennie Pilgrim, The Godfather of Breaks, delivers an album which captures the unique vibe of the club, has lots of b-lines, funky breaks, live keyboards, samples, old-skool soundz and MC-ing.
